A Train fell into the river Bagmati while crossing a  bridge, killing more than 750 people.

20 AUGUST 1955

Purushottam Express collided with the stationary Kalindi Express near Firozabad, death toll was around 30.

26 november 1998

Jammu Tawi-Sealdah Express collided with derailed coaches of Golden Temple Mail in Punjab, killing 212.

2 AUGUST 1999

The Gaisal train disaster killed over 285 people & injured over 300. Many of the victims were Army, BF or CRPF.

20 NOVEMBER 2016

14 coaches of the Indore-Rajendra Nagar Express derailed 60 km from Kanpur, killing 152 people.

9 SEPTEMBER 2002

The Rafiganj train wreck over a bridge on the Dhave river which killed more than 140 people.

22 DECEMBER 1964

The Pamban-Dhanuskodi passenger train was washed away by Rameswaram cyclone, killing over 126 passengers.

Jnaneswari train derailment - - Mumbai bound train derailed near Jhargram and was then hit by oncoming goods train, leading to the death of 148 passengers.
