On February 9, 2024 PM Narendra Modi announced on X that Shri PV Narasimha Rao Garu will be honored with the Bharat Ratna. Chaudhary Charan Singh and Dr. MS Swaminathan will also be honored with the highest civilian award. The Political parties, leaders, and the public are all praising and congratulating this news.

In a separate post on X, Modi also named Chaudhary Charan Singh and agriculture scientist Dr M.S. Swaminathan as the award recipients.
Hearing this news, the right-wing community and BJP supporters jumped on taking a dig at the left-wing community on how they didn’t recognize their own leaders during the tenure. While PM Modi is now giving deserving the due.
